ALLS WELL THAT ENDS WELL AT THE KEYS
We started setting up in the Cross Keys at half past 6, only a handfull of people were in the pub and for the next 2 and a half hours it didn't get much better. Howard the landlord had told us that the last few Fridays had been empty, we were worried. Fortunately the next half hour saw the pub steadily fill up so that once we started we had a bum on every seat and a busy dance floor. From a band point of view we played well and the sound was good and were really pleased by the crowd reaction right from the first song cos sometimes the Keys crowd take a while to get warmed up
A special mention to Julie and Judith who have come to show us support at venues far and wide we always love to see ya, nice to see Bruce there as well. Thanks too to Sue from One Fat Spider for coming down, I will get used to your sense of humour, trust me and to Sim who must be racking up the miles on your car following us around. I guess that everybody dancing on the seats meant that people were enjoying this gig as much as we were. The party rolls on to another Morley pub, The Miners Arms, next Saturday which has always been a well attended one for us, its also Sharons birthday bash as well so lets make it a memorable one, COME ON DOWN!

WHAT A WEEKEND!
The weekend started for us at 6pm on Friday night as we headed out to the Bar Vida in Selby, anticipating a good night after the tremendous response we got the last time we played here, it was also a special night as Danielle was to make her singing live debut. The venue gradually filled until we were looking out over a packed crowd at our half nine start. Can we say a big thankyou to everyone that came from the Fox and to all the usual suspects that travelled from Leeds, it wouldn't be the same without you.Cant say it was the smoothest first set we had ever played due to string breakages and minor sound problems but no one seemed to notice and gave every song a noisy appreciative reaction.
We opened the 2nd set with Danielle singing the first two songs and what a great job she did, really projecting the songs with no obvious sign of nerves, we were 100% behind you. It was "Business as usual" after that with the sound problems sorted we were back to giving it our all and both the band and the crowd were just enjoying the atmosphere which carried on to our 3rd set where we were again Danielle joined us for another couple of songs, and to do backing vocals on our final song "Alright Now". Everyone seemed to have had a great time, I know that we did, and once again a big thanks to all the management and barstaff who were once again superb.
Next day it was all to be done again at a new venue for us, The Red Lion at Shadwell. Our first thoughts were that this wasn' the most obvious music venue. As the time rolled on as we were setting up the clientelle seemed to change and by the time we had soaked up the applause after our first song we new we were in for a good night, the landlord said he had never seen the pub as full, the night just got better and better. Thanks to everyone that came along,Im sure we will be back very soon
