BARLOW CLUB, SELBY (Sat 28th April)
30/04/07 11:06
What a great night Saturday at the Barlow Club at Selby turned out to be with a very appreciative crowd who were making the most of the dance floor until we finally came off at 12.30. Thanks to our friends from The Fox for making the journey to the club to show your support
Chris and Diane also made the journey over and it was exactly 1 year since they first saw us and have hardly missed a gig since! It was Kevs birthday which was celebrated by him drinking large amounts Southern Comfort and him playing guitar off stage as much as on.
Thanks to all the staff at the club for all your help and friendliness, we are looking forward to playing here again on the 21st July.

ON FIRE AT MAGUIRES
23/04/07 15:00
We asked you to come down and support us at Maguires on Saturday night and you didn't dissapoint us, this was one very busy pub.
I hope we repayed you with one of those gigs where we were on fire and really enjoyed playing in that great atmosphere. Didnt realise that it had been 8 weeks since the last time we had played in Leeds so it was good to see some old friends again. If you enjoyed the gig go onto our links and log onto Rock of the North,go to comments, and give us a mention cos we really would like you to spread the word.
Well we are rehearsing new material as usual on Wednesday night just to keep things interesting and then we are over to the Barlow Club on Saturday night (28th April) which just happens to be Kevs Birthday so if anyone wants to see a Jack Daniels fuelled Styckleback we would love to see you there. Thanks for your never ending support!

THE FOX (14th April) ROCKIN!
16/04/07 12:38
Gigging does'nt get any better than this one at The Fox on Saturday night and its all down to the reaction we always get from the fantastic crowd at this venue, the cheer that goes up at the end of every song equals that of somebody scoring a goal at Wembley! Thanks to all the travelling support that came by coach from The Broadway and to our faithful followers Sim and Linda, and Chris and Diane. We love this place and we played til we dropped, doing 51 songs until half past one in the morning. 6 new songs went in to the set as well as reviving some songs we havent done for a while when Ann & Barry made a guest appearence.
The sound on stage and off stage was fantastic which contributed to a memorable night and electric atmosphere.
We cant wait to return

A KICKIN NIGHT AT THE BOOT N SHOE
10/04/07 10:33
Thanks to everyone that turned up for a packed night at The Boot n Shoe for our gig on Saturday. We played well and had a really good time despite the fact that we were not in the best of moods just prior to going on. We arrived at half six to give us plenty of time to set up, sound check and then chill out, at least that was the plan, in reality we spent the whole time being frustrated with the in-house p.a not hooking up to our monitors and maybe just a bit of over zealous knob twiddling by Les was causing feedback problems which were cured only minutes before going on. Any way all's well that ends well and we delivered 39 songs over 3 sets which went down well with the appreciative Boot crowd.
This venue is full of hardened music fans who are fed a constant supply of top bands so it was great to hear so much good feedback from them
Thanks again to everyone at The Boot n Shoe.
